Department of Corrections re. Prisoner
McNamara
Attribute to Assistant General Manager Corporate Development Susan Provan:
An investigation by the Department of Corrections has been able to clear doctors at Rimutaka Prison of any involvement in taking a sperm sample out of the prison for Prisoner McNamara.
“We have reached a stage in the investigation where we can rule out any wrong doing by the doctors or any unprofessional conduct on their part,” said Ms. Provan.
“The investigation is continuing, but Mr McNamara has now retracted his accusation regarding the actions of a doctor,” says Ms. Provan.
“We regret any personal distress that the prisoner’s allegations may have caused.”
