Appropriations Review Committee report tabled in Parliament
The Appropriations Review Committee report was tabled in Parliament this afternoon.
The review is carried out at least once during the term of each Parliament to review the amount of money appropriated by Parliament for the following purposes:
- Administrative and support services provided to the House of Representatives and to Members of Parliament
- Funding entitlements for parliamentary purposes
The Speaker, Hon Margaret Wilson, said members of the Parliamentary Service Commission had begun to work through the recommendations.
The report was well-timed as PSC members were also reviewing the Speaker’s directions and specifications for services and funding entitlements.
They will meet again next month.
