Joel George not intending to apply for reappointment
The General Manager of the Parliamentary Service, Joel George, today announced that he does not intend to apply for reappointment to the position of General Manager when his current appointment expires early next year.
In order to enable a timely transition well in advance of the next election, Mr George has recommended that the Speaker advertise the position of General Manager of the Parliamentary Service as soon as practicable.
Mr George’s current appointment will terminate after handover when a new permanent appointee takes office.
Mr George has served as General Manager of the Parliamentary Service since March 2003.
