House pays tribute
to Chief Ombudsman
Members of the House of
Representatives today stood and observed a period of silence
as a market of respect for the Chief Ombudsman, John
Belgrave DCNZM, who died last night.
On behalf of the House, the Speaker Hon Margaret Wilson expressed the sense of loss felt by Members and extended the House’s sympathy to Mr Belgrave’s family.
Mr Belgrave was appointed Chief Ombudsman in 2003, capping a distinguished career in the public and private sectors.
