Key Appointments Announced at Paymark

Simon Tong, CEO of Paymark, New Zealand’s leading electronic payments provider, today announced the key appointment of Ben Robinson to the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO).

He also announced the appointment of Paul Whiston to the role of Head of Business Development and Customer Relations and Philip Deason to the role of Head of Payment and Channel Marketing.

A member of the Paymark Executive team since November 2006, Ben Robinson was previously head of Business Operations where he led numerous successful improvements in the areas of Project Management, Risk Management, Security and Incident Management. Prior to joining Paymark, he spent several years in the United Kingdom involved in the leadership of large, complex Information Technology projects in both the government and telecommunications sectors.

Paul Whiston and his team are responsible for the management of major customer relationship and sales activities at Paymark. He has recently returned to New Zealand from the United Kingdom where he was General Manager International for the Simpl Group. He has an extensive background in both general management and leading sales and service delivery teams within IT and technology related fields.

Philip Deason, a qualified engineer, moves to his new role at Paymark as Head of Payment and Channel Marketing having initially joined the organisation as Commercial Manager. Prior to that he spent eight years consulting in a diverse range of fields including the petroleum, telecommunications and construction sectors.
