Dunne: Sir Howard a Kiwi of style, talent and generosity
The
loss of Sir Howard Morrison today is a huge loss for the
nation, and not just for his career in entertainment,
UnitedFuture leader Peter Dunne said.
“Sir Howard contributed in so many ways to our nation, including with his commitment to charity and the good of others less fortunate than himself,”
“He was a character and a bright light, and gave much pleasure and joy to many over many decades.
“He was part of making New Zealand New Zealand. He will be missed,” Mr Dunne said.
“He was indeed a gentleman, and with style and panache to match his talent.
“May he rest in peace. I’m sure the thoughts of many thousands and thousands of New Zealanders are with his whanau at this time.”
