The Pacific loses a great friend
The Labour Party says the Pacific has lost a friend and a hero with today’s death of rugby legend Jonah Lomu, says Labour’s Pacific Affairs spokesperson Su’a William Sio.
“On behalf of Labour I want to convey to Jonah’s family our sincere condolences. I was saddened by his passing as he was a good personal friend.
“He was also a good friend and strong supporter of our young Pasifika people.
“Jonah was one of rugby’s greatest ambassadors and a great role model for all the people in the Pacific,” says Su’a William Sio.
