Have your say on the Inquiry into the 2016 Local Authority Elections
Public submissions are now open on the Inquiry into the 2016 Local Authority Elections, which has been initiated by Parliament’s Justice and Electoral Committee.
This inquiry aims to examine the law and administrative procedures for the conduct of Local Authority elections in light of the 2016 local elections.
The inquiry will also consider the matter raised in Petition 2014/0060 of Andrew Mark Judd, which asks that “the House of Representatives consider a law change to make the establishment of Māori wards on district councils follow the same legal framework as establishing other wards on district councils”.
Tell the Justice and Electoral Committee what you think.
Send your submission to us by midnight on Sunday 31 December 2017 and feel free to include any views on the petition in your submission.
