Winston Peters confirmed as New Zealand First leader
New Zealand First is delighted to announce that Rt Hon Winston Peters was again confirmed as party Leader at this morning’s caucus.
His sole nomination was carried with acclaim.
Last year, post the election, Clayton Mitchell was confirmed as the party’s Chief Whip, and Darroch Ball was elected by caucus as Deputy Whip.
The Deputy Leader’s selection will be held at the next caucus.
During a time of upheaval today’s confirmation reinforces the stability that New Zealand First brings to the New Zealand political system.
