National In Housing Conflict While Economy Spirals

While Kiwis struggle to make ends meet, Christopher Luxon and Chris Bishop can’t agree on whether they want house prices to go up or go down.

“Today Christopher Luxon told media he wants to see house prices go up making it harder for Kiwis to buy a house, which is in direct contrast to Chris Bishop who said in June that prices needed to come down,” Labour acting housing spokesperson Arena Williams said.

“If the Government spent more time being focused at least on being on the same page, perhaps we would see some results.

“National is so out of touch they don’t realise that flip flopping around with ideas about market value is considerably alarming to homeowners.

“National seem to have no clue when it comes to the economic mess they have put New Zealand in. Calls for help from the public are laughed off and dwindling confidence from the business sector doesn’t seem to be recognised.

“National is out of touch, especially when they can’t make their collective minds up about housing,” Arena Williams said.
