Exchange Providing Opportunities For Australian Political Leaders To Learn About New Zealand
Office of the Speaker of the NZ House of
Representatives
Rt Hon Gerry
Brownlee
Five young Australian political leaders are arriving in New Zealand on Saturday for a week-long visit through the Australian Political Exchange.
The group is made up of representatives from the Parliament of Australia, state Parliaments and local councils.
The programme for the visit gives delegates the opportunity to learn about New Zealand politics and Parliament, culture, and business, and includes engagements in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.
The delegation will be welcomed to New Zealand Parliament on Wednesday 10 December and will meet with the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Gerry Brownlee, before being introduced to the House at 2:00pm.
The Australian Political Exchange is an annual exchange between Australia and New Zealand. New Zealand MPs were hosted in Australia by the Exchange in 2024.
The delegation will be in New Zealand from Saturday 6 December – Friday 12 December.
