Pamela, a permanent Coromandel resident, says she believes this election will see many people embracing the benefits that Green Party policies will bring to their family and whānau.

Pamela is cofounder of a work place dispute resolution and advocacy service and sees power and wealth imbalance as something that needs addressing in all aspects of kiwi life.

“There is a lot of wealth in this electorate but there is also a lot of poverty. There are a lot of families who are doing it hard. There are a lot of elderly people who are struggling. By voting for real change people can make a difference to the problems they face,” says Pamela.

She upholds her party’s policies as measures to bridge the gap between the powerful and powerless; policies such as free GP visits and free dental care, fully funded early childhood education, championing nature, and clean energy.

Since the 2023 election, Pamela has worked hard to become familiar with the diverse needs and priorities of the large electorate, one which extends from Ōmokoroa to Colville and includes Hauraki and the Seabird/ Wharekawa Coast.

Pamela says she is extremely excited by the opportunity to help make change possible and is looking forward to the chance to talk with the people in the community whose need for change is greatest.
