Hūhana Lyndon Says Te Tai Tokerau Needs Long Term Commitment, Not Short Term Politics
Green Party Te Tai Tokerau candidate Hūhana Lyndon says the people of Te Tai Tokerau are looking for leadership grounded in kaupapa, integrity and long term commitment to whānau and whenua.
Hūhana Lyndon says, "since the signing of He Whakaputanga me Te Tiriti, tangata whenua rights and the wellbeing of our communities have been attacked, our focus must remain on the kaupapa: tino rangatiratanga.
"For decades, the Green Party has stood alongside iwi hapū on the ground fighting for te taiao, the right to accessible health care and ending houselesness, and upholding tino rangatiratanga.
"Our people deserve representation that has strong history of working on the ground with communities, developing policies that address issues to ensure whānau have what they need to thrive, today and for future generations.
"My commitment to Te Tai Tokerau is consistent and visible, listening to and focused on delivering real change for our whānau and communities, which makes me a strong candidate for Te Tai Tokerau."
