"Tourism Figures Show Economy in Good Shape - Young Nat's"
“Record tourism figures released today are another indication of New Zealand ’s growing economy – the legacy of the previous National led government,” New Zealand Young Nationals Policy Chair Grant Tyrrell commented today.
“The Tourism Board and industry as a whole should take a great deal of credit for the way which New Zealand has been marketed.”
“Following figures showing a record high of New Zealanders in employment it is clear that National has left an economy in great shape,” Grant Tyrrell said.
“I challenge Helen Clark to control the radical left wing members of her own caucus and rag tag supporters from the minor parties. Helen Clark has the opportunity to assert herself as a strong leader by not taking the country backwards.”
“I say to Helen Clark do not nationalise ACC and cost employers hundreds of millions of dollars. Do not abolish the Employment Contracts Act which has seen hundreds of jobs created every week.”
“Labour have come to government with New Zealand’s economy the strongest it has been yet – it is our hope that they will not waste it away on union driven, ideological changes,” Grant Tyrrell concluded.
