"Nanny State Cannot Travel …"
… says Clark in this morning’s Dominion. "But neither does she desist!" adds Lindsay Mitchell speaking on behalf of the Libertarianz. "Clark rightly denounces Australian Nannying," notes Mitchell, "but her comment sanctions Nanny here at home. Was it too much to expect consistency?" asks Mitchell.
Mitchell points out that Clark’s Labour Government spent $700 million more on Domestic Purposes Beneficiaries in the last financial year than they spent on Defence.
"Is it any wonder," she wonders, "that productive New Zealanders from whom these dollars are extracted are fleeing to Australia in increasing numbers - fleeing from Clark’s own nannying? The truth is, all New Zealanders will only be better off when Nanny does get sent away. Permanently."
