New 'Human Wrongs' Commissar A Helengrad Nanny
New 'Human Wrongs' Commissar Another Helengrad Nanny
Libertarianz Leader Peter Cresswell expressed disgust today at the ignorance of the Chief Commissar of the Human Wrongs Commissariat, politically correct appointee Rosslyn Noonan, who claims: "Access to the telecommunications network is a human right."
Cresswell wonders: "Why is it that a service provided by private companies - risking their own money, produced by their own effort - is something that others can claim as of right?" He points out that "no such right exists in reality. Such is the ineptness of the Noonan that she fails to understand the nature of rights - which is, purportedly, her job."
"Why should companies be forced to provide a service that the users are unwilling to pay for? Perhaps the Noonan should note that the people who create the technology she loves and wishes to plunder did not do so because someone else claimed a Noonan-granted 'right' to it; they created it and run it because they want to, and in pursuit of profits which they rightfully are entitled to! It is their right to offer their services to whomever they choose, on whatever terms they choose. The Noonan has no right to demand otherwise," says Cresswell.
" New Zealanders have access to some of the cheapest internet services in the world virtually nationwide, without any intervention by the government, and despite the companies providing this service being taxed heavily to pay the salaries of unproductive 'Helengrad Nannies' like Ms. Noonan. I note however," concludes Cresswell, "that several telecommunications companies have exited the New Zealand market in the past year. Isn't it time Ms Noonan's Human Wrongs Commissariat did the same!"
