Public Meeting for a GE free New Zealand
On Monday, August 13th, at 7 pm a public meeting will be held in Thistle Hall for anyone concerned about the recommendations from the Royal Commission on Genetic Modification. The meeting is aimed at bringing together all peoples who are concerned with the direction proposed by the Royal Commission. The forum will encourage discussion for strategies towards a GE free New Zealand.
Speakers addressing the meeting include Sue Kedgley from The Green party, Seagar Mason from Bio-gro, Sarah Beasely from the Green Fingers campaign and will be facilitated by Chris Webster. Following the speakers there will be an opportunity for discussion from the floor.
“We have three months before the government decides on the fate of Genetic Engineering within our country. This meeting will be a chance for people to come together to discuss the report and plan action.” said spokesperson Claire Wilson.
