Zimbabwe Suspension Applauded
The Libertarianz Party has applauded the move to suspend Zimbabwe from the British Commonwealth. Party Leader Peter Cresswell said: "It's about time that some action be taken against the madman Robert Mugabe."
"Unfortunately this move should have been taken before the election; since then more people have been murdered by Mugabe's thugs. In fact," said Cresswell, "it would have been far better had this been done months ago as the Libertarianz Party suggested."
Cresswell said: "When we first proposed expelling Mugabe our government was dead silent. After several public calls for expelling Zimbabwe from the Comonwealth only then did Philip Goff respond and then it said such expulsion wasn't possible. After several more months of atrocities Goff suddenly discovered it was possible and soon he was following the Libertarianz lead and calling for Mugabe's explusion."
"It's time to bring charges against Mugabe" said Cresswell, "Let him know that if he or any of his top lieutenants step foot in New Zealand that they will be arrested for crimes committed. In addition we should now consider withdrawing any and all diplomatic officials from Zimbabwe, and fast-tracking visa applications for refugees from Mugabe's atrocities." It's enough to make you vote Libertarianz!
