Proving 'the politicos' are not 'God-forsaken'

"Some call the bad weather climate change; others an act of God - but the people of Wellington suburbs Wadestown and Highland Park are asking politicians to turn up to hustings on the 13th July in the open air to prove otherwise" said Ian Shearer, President of Highland Park Progressive Association.

The residents groups are asking politicians to turn up, complete with political stalls and manifestos to an outdoor "meet the candidates" event to be held on Wadestown Park from 11.30 am on Saturday 13th July. Politicians can bring what they like in the way of stalls, tables and marquees to woo the voters.

Residents have been asked to bring their own deck chairs to the fair. "No doubt this will lead to some politicians trying their best to re-arrange them before they get to predicting total demise of the country if you do not vote the right way" said John Shrapnell, President of Wadestown Residents Association.
