Green Party Hypocrites Of Spin

Green Party Hypocrites Of Spin

"It's the height of hypocrisy for the Green Party to declare today as a GE-Free and spin-free day," the national convener of Bluegreens, Terry Dunleavy said today.

"These are the people who put a witness before the Royal Commission who made false claims which they later had to apologise for.

"These are the people who tried to create a false food scare about imports of sweet corn seed.

"These are the people who are supported by a multi-million dollar multinational corporation - Greenpeace.

"These are the people who prey on consumer concerns about safe food to support their opposition to technology which will help us become much more environmentally friendly - all because left wing green activists are not interested in solutions, only the perpetuation of problems so they can raise money to support their multinational organisations and their own jobs.

"The only spinners in this whole debate are the Greens. They put all their so-called evidence in front of the Royal Commission on GM, which found it came well short of being convincing.

"The biggest spin of all is to accuse anyone who disagrees with them of being a spin doctor. That's the sort of Stalinist approach to politics which even the Russians got rid of.

"The Bluegreens are proud that we can stand up for sensible approaches to the environment which get us away from the dishonest and manipulative politics of the Green Party."
