NEW MP SHOWING COURAGE
“One of parliaments newest MPs should be applauded for being honest about Family Planning’s abysmal record in preventing teenage pregnancies and STDs,” said Party Leader Graham Capill.
“It is time the media realised that the public wants greater honesty from politicians and are sick of political correctness in the corridors of power. Instead of hanging United Future’s MP, Larry Baldock, because he told it the way it is, the media should have applauded such honesty and been more objective in their reporting.
“Family Planning is an abysmal failure. After two decades of sex education and millions of dollars, there are no signs that teenagers are becoming any more responsible with their sexual behaviour. Any other government-funded organization would be called to account.
“Instead of taking pressure off young people, Family Planning has complicated the lives of students and introduced an adult agenda to children as young as five. The fact that they still fail to promote the only sensible solution (that it is ok to say no to sexual relationships before marriage), is astounding given current statistics.
“Congratulations, Mr Baldock! Keep up the pressure. It is time Family Planning were held accountable,” concluded Mr Capill.
