GPJA Seeks Volunteers for Leaflet Drop
Dear friends,
GPJA need volunteers to help leaflet the GE march this Saturday and the Grey Lynn Festival on November 23. We will be handing out an antiwar leaflet promoting a picket of the US Consulate on December 14 with the theme of "A Christmas message for George Bush - Peace not War for Iraq".
The recent UN vote has done nothing to slow down the war drive and the international movement against war can't afford to let its guard down.
The New Zealand government’s decision to send a frigate to the Gulf will assist the US war plans directly or indirectly and should be opposed. (see UN Vote Brings War Closer - http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/stories/HL0211/S00079.htm
This Saturday, November 16 we will meet at 12 noon beneath the Clock Tower of the Auckland Town Hall. Look out for the GPJA banner.
Because the Grey Lynn Festival is an all day event we need to organise a roster for leafletters. Please email mailto:miket@pl.net if you can help for an hour on the day. We need lots of helpers so please make a small commitment if you can.
Thanks Mike
