30 Residents Voice Spray Concerns
This morning about 30 residents voiced their concerns outside the Ministry of Education on College Hill, Ponsonby. Representatives from the group were then invited in for a meeting with the Northern Regional Manager Terry Bates.
The meeting lasted approx. 15 minutes with many concerns about the spray programme being raised, especially the effects on children, & the school's failure to provide a safe environment.
The 3 representatives included concerned resident and campaigner Rachel Wapenaar, spray evacuee and mother Sherry Spear, and Dr John Clearwater, a Specialist in pheromone technology and long time critic of the aerial spray programme.
Terry Bates ended the meeting promising
to take their concerns to the Ministry of Education & M.A.F
later today.
