The Government has indemnified Agriquality Ltd, the private company which is spraying Aucklanders with pesticide, against any claim arising from this activity.

* One of the ingredients of the spray is benzoic acid. There is no known safe level for inhalation of this chemical

* The Health Risk Assessment, on which the government relies for stating that Foray48B is safe, investigated the ingredients of the spray only for their effects when ingested or in contact with the skin - but not when inhaled.
