Racist Waitangi Tribunal an Abuse of Law
"The Waitangi Tribunal should butt out of making comments on legislation," said Libertarianz Spokesman Tim Wikiriwhi today. Wikiriwhi is infuriated that the Tribunal is suggesting that private property rights should be completely ignored whenever "people claiming to be 'Mäori' are involved in decisions on what people do with their own land." Wikiriwhi explodes: "It is utterly outrageous that this Kangaroo Court - which does not even recognise simple common law rules of evidence - can pontificate on how Parliament should make its laws, and what common law protections Parliament should throw out. Who the hell do they think they are? Not only that, it beggars belief that in the twenty-first century a person's ancestry can determine their standing in law.
"The Waitangi Tribunal should be abolished," Wikiriwhi says, "and any notion that a person's ancestral bloodline gives them greater legal rights than others should be scrubbed from history, just like the egregious apartheid regime in South Africa".
