Acting Chief Executive for the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology
The State Services Commissioner, Michael Wintringham, announced today that he has asked Dr Helen Anderson to be Acting Chief Executive for the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology until such time as a permanent chief executive is appointed.
Dr Anderson will take up the acting position from 25 July 2003 when the present chief executive, Dr James Buwalda, starts his new position as Chief Executive and Secretary of Labour.
Dr Anderson is currently the Chief Scientific Adviser at the Ministry, a position she has held for five and a half years.
Mr Wintringham says he will start the recruitment process for the permanent position shortly.
