What Has United Future Done For Fathers?
United Future MP, Marc Alexander, has welcomed the interest of ABC Television in Parenting Week, currently being held in Christchurch. As part of the event, on Wednesday, a Focus on Fathers evening will be held at Mr Alexander's electorate offices in Christchurch city.
"I would challenge fathers attending this meeting to ask United Future why they supported legislation which made the DPB, the state replacement of fathers, easier to get on and stay on, " said Lindsay Mitchell, Petitioner for a Parliamentary review of the DPB.
"Mr Alexander demonstrates that he is absolutely acquainted with what he calls the 'cold, hard facts.' That 'an alarming number of children are growing up in fatherless homes.' " "Since the new United Future party arrived in Parliament and promptly threw their weight behind the feminist-driven Labour party, around 2,000 more children have had their fathers replaced by a benefit."
