Online Petition Against Child Abuse Officially Opened

Press release
Hastings, October 10th

Online petition against child abuse officially opened

Face Of Truth, the Hastings based volunteer organisation, has started an internet petition asking the government for a more serious and wide ranging approach towards child abuse and its causes. Face Of Truth aims at raising awareness about child abuse, bringing to light the truth, awakening people from this stagnation, and evoking a response. This petition is meant as a way for those who care about this growing problem, to express their concern. The petition can be found at www.faceoftruth.org.nz/aboutpetition.html

About Face Of Truth:

Face Of Truth was started in 2002 by Laurel Laing, 31, of Hastings, Hawkes Bay. The main principle behind the organisation is that awareness is the first step towards dealing with the growing problem of child abuse. To achieve this, Face Of Truth produces and organises awareness campaigns. These campaigns, for television and for magazines and other print media, are made by a group of dedicated volunteers, with the support of many others.

Face Of Truth recently presented its new website, www.faceoftruth.org.nz, which is built, hosted and maintained by various sponsors of the organisation.
