Free Ahmed Zaoui Court Vigil
Free Ahmed Zaoui Court Vigil
Assembles at 9:30am, Monday, December the 1st, High Court Building, Waterloo Quadrant.
A vigil to show our support for Ahmed Zaoui during this crucial court case which starts this coming Monday and peoples deep concerns over the powers of the Security Intelligence Service (SIS).
The judicial review, is challenging two interim decisions made by the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security, Laurie Greig, in his review of the security risk certificate which alleges Mr Zaoui is a threat to national security. One is to withhold from Mr Zaoui or his lawyers a summary of the SIS secret information and the other is Justice Greig's decision not to take Mr Zaoui's human rights into account.
These are both travesties of justice in which
Zaoui's legal team will be seeking to overturn.
