Bible Mission Started In Pub
Bible Societies around the world are celebrating the 200th anniversary since their founding this week. The British and Foreign Bible Society was established at a meeting in the London Tavern, on March 7, 1804. It was the first of 138 national Bible Societies which now operate in 235 countries. The Bible Society in New Zealand, which began its work here in 1846, was the twelfth Bible Society to be established.
