Change of guard within Citizens & Ratepayers
Terry Brannigan has been elected president of the combined Auckland Citizens & Ratepayers Association.
Mr Brannigan, president of the Eastern Bays C&R Association, takes over from John Collinge, who had held the position for the past seven years. Mr Collinge did not seek re-election at the Association’s annual general meeting held on 14 May.
Two vice-presidents were also elected by the combined association, Patricia Lady Thorpe and Alastair Bell.
“The challenge now is to build on our recent success with a campaign to increase the number of C&R candidates who win office at October’s local government elections”, said Mr Brannigan.
