Argentine, Myanmar and Nigerian envoys present credentials
The new Ambassadors of Argentina and Myanmar and the High Commissioner for Nigeria will present their credentials to Governor-General Dame Silvia Cartwright at Government House on Tuesday 3 August at 11.30am.
Career diplomat Mr Pedro Raul Herrera is Argentina’s new Ambassador. Since joining the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs he has had postings in Germany, Chile, France and South Africa. Prior to his posting to New Zealand, Mr Herrera was Director-General of Human Resources and Organisation for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
U Soe Win is Myanmar’s new Ambassador to New Zealand. Since joining the Myanmar Ministry of Foreign of Foreign Affairs in 1992, he served in Hong Kong, Japan and Pakistan before being posted to Australia to take up his current assignment.
Dr Icha Emmanuel Ituma had a distinguished career in education and public service prior to his current appointment as High Commissioner to New Zealand. Dr Ituma was educated in Nigeria and The Netherlands and holds a PhD in agricultural extension from the University of Nigeria.
Mr Herrera is resident in Wellington while U Soe Win and Dr Ituma are cross-accredited from Canberra.
