Enough is Enough – Event Format Released
The ENOUGH IS ENOUGH agenda for Monday 23rd
August 2004, mass gathering at Parliament, has been
completed.
The proceedings will commence at 10.15am at the Civic Square in Wellington City, with live entertainment while the crowd assembles. At 11.20am the gathering will leave Civic Square and march to Parliament via Lambton Quay.
A 200-man Kapa Haka group will welcome officials and church leaders onto Parliament grounds followed by the New Zealand National Anthem.
Those taking the platform include event Kaumatua Pastor Manuel Renata, Trevor Yaxley (Director of Lifeway Ministries), Pastor Paul de Jong (Senior Minister of CLCA), Pastor Tavale Matai’a (Senior Minister of Word of Life Church), Pastor Brian Tamaki (Senior Minister of Destiny Churches), Ewen McQueen (Leader of Christian Heritage NZ) and Richard Lewis (Leader of Destiny NZ).
“Our aim is to defend the institution of marriage and uphold common sense standards of living for the sake of our children and the generations to come. It’s going to be a significant event”, said Pastor Tamaki.
A National Kapa Haka team begins the build-up for the ENOUGH IS ENOUGH campaign this Saturday [7 August] at 12pm at the Aotea Square in Auckland.
