Tuesday 28 September 2004
Leaders from Wellington's Muslim and Jewish communities met today and issued the following joint statement:

Together, we denounce all acts inciting hatred as they are contrary to our religious, ethical, and civic beliefs. Let us work together, with all of New Zealand, to build a healthy society where everyone respects each others' beliefs and we celebrate our diversity."
