21st Anniversary of the Media Peace Awards Looms

The ceremony will take place on November 10th at the Maidment Theatre in Auckland. The MCs will be John Campbell and Carol Hirschfeld, and the guest speaker will be author James McNeish.

Tickets are $15 unwaged and $25 waged and available from the Maidment Theatre (09) 308 2383.

The series began with my essay on the Moomins universe created by the Finnish writer Tove Jansson. The recent rash of greetings cards, cups and other Moomin-related marketing efforts have only made the original books seem even more precious.
