The New Zealand chapter of Americans Overseas for Kerry-Edwards announced today that they will be hosting a Victory Party 3 November at JJ Murphy & Co. Irish Pub at 119 - 123 Cuba Street, Wellington at 6 PM. US citizens and will be gathering to watch the returns on live television as the polls in California are closing.

Ronald Nelson, New Zealand Chair of Americans Overseas for Kerry-Edwards (www.AOKerry.com) said "John Kerry is seeing a real surge of support across America, particularly in the swing states of Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Bush's failure to secure troops and weapons in Iraq and the Republicans' plans to systematically disenfranchise eligible voters are only strengthening Americans' support for John Kerry."

Commenting on the New Zealand Get Out The Vote campaign, Nelson said, “Of the 175 nations around the world where Americans used OverseasVote20004.com to register to vote, New Zealand with only 15000 Americans, ranked number 22 - wildly disproportionate considering the much larger American populations in many other counties.” He went on to predict, “Democrats all around the world are going to have a great night”
