Election audit, processing and count progress
Election audit, processing and count progress - Thursday
Progress continues to be made in the processing and audit of delayed election results.
Audited results of the
Matamata-Piako District Council Dunedin City Council Hutt Valley DHB Capital Coast Health DHB
were today sent to Electoral Officers, who have now declared the final results.
The results of the following elections had already been declared.
Chathams Islands Council (not subject to Office of Auditor-General {OAG} audit) Wellington City Council (OAG audited) Porirua City and Porirua Licensing Trust (OAG audited) Kapiti Coast Council (OAG audited)
One further council - Marlborough Council - is still in the audit process. Sixteen further DHBs are either being processed or awaiting audit.
How long the processing and audit takes and the order in which results are released to Electoral Officers depends on the issues identified in each case. It is therefore still not possible to predict when further results will be available or in which order they will be produced, but today’s progress is encouraging.
