'Enough is Enough' - Get Your Facts Right
Press Statement for Immediate Release
Destiny Churches New Zealand
25 January 2005
Pastor Tamaki says 'Enough is Enough' - Get Your Facts Right.
Pastor Brian Tamaki, the Senior Minister of Destiny Churches New Zealand, says an NZ Herald claim that Destiny Church is flouting a Transit veto to march over the Auckland Harbour Bridge is unfactual.
"I have not made any statements to any media about this situation - the NZ Herald comments are out of line. Destiny Churches comply fully with the law and as I understand it, this event is still being worked through between the event management team and the authorities", said Pastor Tamaki.
The event titled 'Defend the Legacy' scheduled for Saturday 5th March 2005 was launched following the passing of same-sex marriage legislation (Civil Union Bill) and aims to positively promote traditional family values and the institution of marriage.
Pastor Tamaki has today sought legal advice about a number of unfactual allegations presented by media.
