Lions Clubs New Zealand Celebrates 50 Years Of Service To The Community In April

This month, Lions Clubs New Zealand celebrates 50 years of active community service in New Zealand. The first New Zealand Lions Club was formed in 1955 in Auckland.

This represents a significant milestone for any community service organisation. Lions are passionate about community service and are dedicated to continuing their work and growing over the next 50 years.

The anniversary has been marked with a Lions 50 Year History Book, a commemorative stamp by NZ Post and local Lions Clubs around the country are also undertaking special activities throughout the year.

A calendar of the national celebration events being held this month follows. Further information about these activities will be sent closer to the time.
