MFAT: London Update
The Ministry call centre will continue to take calls on 0800 432 111. However, between 2000 tonight and 0800 tomorrow morning, calls will be redirected to the Ministry's answer service.
To clarify the calls: we are asking for New Zealanders to call in if they have been unable to contact directly someone they believed to have been in London at the time. We also want call backs from those who have reported such a case but have since made contact with that individual. There is no need to call in about people who have been in touch unless they were previously reported as out of contact.
To date there are just over 2100 persons on the database, of whom nearly 1500 had been accounted for. Enquiries are still being made about 640. The number for whom serious concerns are held remains at one.
We anticipate that the next
update will be released tomorrow morning around 0800.
