A great concept or an election bribe?
A great concept or an election bribe?
“Labour takes a small step in the right direction” say the Democrats for social credit Finance Spokesman John Pemberton. “The concept of interest free loans is a great one.”
“They (Labour) just need to develop the concept further to ensure the burden of interest is not just transferred from students and placed on the shoulders of tax payers, but is in fact completely removed.
“It is simply a matter of policy that current governments source their loan funding from inefficient and expensive sources, commercial banks, rather than utilising a very efficient source of finance – our very own Reserve Bank.
The $300 million dollar interest burden removed from student shoulders and taken over by the current government is an unnecessary cost to all of us” said Pemberton.
“We want no half measures from Michael Cullen and Helen Clarke, they must go the whole way, other wise the great concept of interest free loans is merely an election bribe, no different from National’s promises of tax cuts.”
