Destiny New Zealand Refrains from Court Action
Destiny New Zealand will not pursue court action in response to TVNZ's decision to exclude it from forthcoming Leaders Debates.
President Stephen Brown says that while the party considers it has reasonable grounds to pursue the matter, the party accept TVNZ's decision and will remain focused on its grassroots campaign.
"We're only looking for fairness and we put our case forward based on merit. TVNZ has declined our submission and as far as I'm concerned, that's where it ends. The decision only strengthens our resolve to work harder at the grassroots with the people," he added.
Mr Brown added that the party had not ruled out revisiting the decision if future polls demonstrate increased traction in the electorate.
