Christian Heritage NZ – Opening Address

Christian Heritage NZ – Opening Address
Christian Heritage NZ opening address broadcast on TVNZ Saturday 20th August at 7.30pm.
Hi – I’m Ewen McQueen, leader of Christian Heritage NZ. We have all been shocked this year by the news about Graham Capill. It is now clear that as a party we unknowingly allowed a terrible hypocrisy to be committed in our name. I want to apologise to all New Zealanders for that. It should never have happened, and we very much regret that it did.
Since I was elected as leader two years ago, our party has made some big changes. For a start, we have a new leadership team. Like our candidates they are drawn from a wide range of churches in New Zealand – Baptist, Pentecostal, Anglican, Presbyterian, Catholic and Brethren.
We also have a renewed focus on the key family-values issues affecting our nation. In particular we are focussing on three main areas that we call our ABC agenda - Affirming Marriage, Building Families, and Celebrating Life as God’s precious gift.
You know with our nation the way it is right now – you can’t afford not to have a strong Christian voice in Parliament. Give your party vote to Christian Heritage NZ and we will be that voice.
