Muffin Break Bean Poll Puts Labour In The Lead...Just
More than 12,000 people have voted in the first week of the Muffin Break Bean Poll and the results put Labour in the lead..but only just.
Its share of the poll is 29.3%, with National sitting close behind on 27.4%. New Zealand First and the Greens are neck and neck on 14% and 14.9% respectively while votes for the "others" make up the remainder.
The Bean Poll allows customers at the 36 Muffin Break stores nationwide to vote - via coffee bean - for their preferred party. National leader Don Brash did his bit for the bean at Coastlands in Paraparaumu last week.
In 2002, more than 65,000 people voted in the Muffin Break Bean Poll and the final tally closely mirrored the results on election night.
