REMINDER - Protest Against WTO
A protest has been organised for lunchtime today to mark the opening of the WTO Ministerial meeting in Hong Kong.
The protest will be held outside the Fonterra building, Princes Street, Auckland (just along from the University) from 12noon to 2pm.
Fonterra and the New Zealand government are the biggest pushers of so-called free trade.
However if the WTO meeting is “successful” it will have serious consequences for New Zealand workers and their families as well as devastating effects for the world’s poor.
GPJA will present a letter to Fonterra as part of today’s protest.
