Media Note – Kenya Emergency Appeal
Media interest is increasing in the emergency situation developing in Kenya as a result of drought and famine.
Please note that the international aid agency ChildFund New Zealand launched an emergency appeal for Kenya in mid-February – it was the first aid agency to launch an official appeal in New Zealand (see media release from 16.2.06 ).
Donations are still urgently needed and New Zealanders wanting to help can free phone 0800 223 111 to make a donation.
ChildFund New Zealand asks any media covering the developing crisis in Kenya to please consider including the ChildFund free phone number in any coverage of this issue. For further information or interviews, please contact ChildFund New Zealand National Director Paul Brown on 0275 566 196.
