youth!
The Industry Training Organisation (ITO) for
the Social Services, Te Kaiāwhina Ahumahi is proud to
be hosting its third national conference at Wairākei
Resort in Taupo this weekend.
‘The conference theme - ‘ko wai ka kite, Ma wai e tohu: Random – Expect the Unexpected’ is inspired by the creative and innovative environment of those working with youth. People will be attending from all over the country, showcasing and celebrating their best practise models and successes.
The conference has attracted a high calibre of speakers, including Youth Affairs Minister and Tainui MP, Hon Nanaia Mahuta, Wairarapa Labour MP Georgina Beyer and well known Hawaiian Professor Manulani Aluli Meyer.
‘This is an exciting opportunity to be innovative in determining positive change to empower the growth and development of our youth. The future is in the hands of our youth’, says Arapeta Hamilton, Chairperson, Te Uepū a Iwi, Māori caucas of Te Kaiāwhina Ahumahi.
