Qana- Never Again!

Demonstrate against Israel’s War Crimes

The Israeli airforce killed 56 people in Qana , including 37 children. The photographs are too distressing to publish in this leaflet, but we will never forget this slaughter of innocent children. Masses of people across the world are taking to the streets this Saturday to protest this horrific massacre. Here in Auckland there will be a powerful demonstration of our anger and disgust, starting from Aotea Square and going to the U.S. Consulate. Bring a flag, banner or placard. We need you to join us and to bring all your family, friends, workmates and classmates. Copy this leaflet and pass it on. Email and phone as many people as you can.

The brave activists of Hamas and Hizbollah are freedom fighters, not terrorists. The only terrorists in this conflict are the Israeli government and military, backed by the corrupt Bush regime of the USA. Bush, Condi Rice, and Blair stand exposed by their refusal to support international demands for an Israeli ceasefire. Any international military force sent to the region led by these butchers would not be “peacekeepers” but another Western army of occupation alongside those in Iraq and Afghanistan. The international movement must oppose this multinational force. Helen Clark should send no NZ troops to the Middle East.

The tide is turning against Israel and the American empire. Israel has lost the war for people’s hearts and minds, and millions are now supporting the resistance movements in Lebanon and Palestine. Just like the French resistance against the Nazi occupation, groups like Hamas and Hizbollah have every right to fight back against the illegal occupation of their land. Christians have enlisted with the Hizbollah militia to oppose the Zionist aggression, because it is a just struggle.

Out of this suffering a new world is being born. Thousands of people demonstrate in Cairo, London, Sydney and Beirut. Christians are uniting with Muslims. More and bigger mobilizations will be needed in coming weeks if the bombardment continues.

In Auckland, we will meet at 3pm after the demonstration at the Methodist City Mission opposite Aotea Square. Come there and help build this movement.

The people of Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan need our support.
