Young Nats Conference 2006
The Young Nats will hold their 2006 Annual Conference and AGM in Auckland this weekend.
The conference will kick off on Friday 15 September with informal drinks in downtown Auckland. This will be followed by a full agenda on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 September at the Ellerslie Convention Centre.
National Party President Judy Kirk will officially open the Conference on Saturday morning. Saturday will also feature addresses by National MPs John Key, Paula Bennett and Nicky Wagner, new National member, Ian Ewan-Street and the Conference highlight, the address by National Party Leader Don Brash.
Young Nats’ President Michael Mabbett says the mood amongst Young Nats is upbeat.
“Young Nats from throughout New Zealand will be in Auckland for our Conference and everyone is looking forward to a great weekend,” Mr Mabbett says.
“We have an excellent line up of speakers, reflecting the talent in National’s Caucus. And we’re keen to focus our attention on how we can best assist National to win the next election.”
