Union Kicks Off More Pay, More Say Campaign

Union Kicks Off More Pay, More Say Campaign

Organisers from Solidarity Union took to the streets on Monday in New Zealand’s first ever human wave recruitment drive.

Hundreds of cars in East Tamaki tooted in support as organisers kicked off the More Pay, More Say campaign with music, placards and leaflets.

Targeting workers going into sites that have never had a union, many workers said they couldn’t wait until Solidarity visited them so they could join up.

Solidarity's strategy is to organise workers on a street by street basis in a ‘human wave’ style, overcoming the isolation that many workers feel in smaller workplaces.

Tomorrow morning will see another human wave take place on Lady Ruby Drive in East Tamaki from 7am – 9am.

This is history in the making so come along and be a part of it!
